Carpentry Services in Mississauga
Carpentry at handyman scale is the woodwork that makes a home feel finished and work properly: baseboards that sit tight, doors that close without a shoulder behind them, shelving that holds real weight, handrails that don’t wobble. In Mississauga’s subdivision homes it’s most often repair and finishing work — damaged builder trim, doors swollen by summer humidity, closets with a single sagging rod — while older Port Credit and Mineola homes add repair-matching to the list, where new work has to sit convincingly beside old.

What’s included
- Baseboard, casing, and trim installation and repair
- Interior door adjustments — planing, re-hanging, and latch alignment for doors that stick or won’t close
- Closet shelving and storage builds
- Stair handrail tightening and repair
- Crown moulding and finishing details
- Small wood rot repairs on exterior trim
- Baseboard replacement after flooring work (a natural pairing with Floor Repair & Installation)
Scope, honestly
Structural framing, full deck builds, and additions are construction scope, not handyman carpentry. Repairs, finishing, and built-ins are the fit here — and if your job crosses that line, you’ll hear it at quote time rather than mid-project.

FAQs
Can you match my existing trim?
Common baseboard and casing profiles are readily available and usually match well. Older or custom profiles in character homes may not have an exact off-the-shelf match — the closest profile is shown to you before anything is installed, so there are no surprises.
My door only sticks in the summer. Can that be fixed?
Yes — seasonal sticking is humidity swelling the door or a shifted frame, and it’s one of the most common carpentry calls. The fix ranges from hinge and strike adjustment to planing the contact edge, depending on what’s actually rubbing.
Do you build custom shelving?
Closet systems, linen and pantry shelving, and storage built-ins, yes — measured and built for the space rather than adapted from a kit. (Pre-made flat-pack shelving is covered under Furniture Assembly instead.)
A section of my exterior trim is rotted. Is that a carpentry job?
Small rotted sections of trim and fascia can be cut out and replaced, then sealed and painted — it’s also how you find out whether the rot is only in the trim. Larger structural rot is flagged honestly if it’s found.
